While I would like this to be possible: Change name or default directory(Boxifier), in the meantime it would be usefull to have the option to sync a folder to an existing directory already created in the Boxifier directory, instead of having to make a new one.
For the moment you could use a workaround to sync folder to an existing directory in Boxifier. This way you could use the same folder on two separate computers. Here are the steps:
As an example If you want to sync a folder C:\Alice that is already in Dropbox\Boxifier\Alice, you could do this:
- Go to the Dropbox tray icon, click on it, then go to the wheel icon in the top right corner, click it to display the menu and choose"Pause syncing".
- Go to the Dropbox folder on your computer, then to the Boxifier folder, and delete the Dropbox --> Boxifier --> Alice folder.
- Then go to C:\Alice, right click it and choose “Boxifier - Sync with Dropbox” so that it will appear in your Dropbox as Dropbox --> Boxifer --> Alice.
- Go to the Dropbox tray icon, click on it, then go to the wheel icon in the top right corner, click it to display the menu and choose “Resume syncing”.
Doing this will replace the existing contents of Dropbox\Boxifier\Alice with the contents of C:\Alice.
If you have the Alice folder already downloaded in Dropbox\Boxifier and want to merge the contents with the one in C:\Alice then just copy the contents from Dropbox\Boxifier\Alice to C:\Alice before taking the above steps.
This is a workaround for now. A future version of Boxifier will make this easier to handle.
Any update or ETA on the possibility to sync the same external folder on two different computers?
