Moving from Dropbox folder to Boxifier - best practice

Just getting started with Boxifier. My main reason for using Boxifier is to place my Photos folder (currently in Dropbox folder) on an external drive.

Should I first move the Photos folder out of the Dropbox folder onto the external drive, let Dropbox resolve those removed files, and then drag the external drive folder into Boxifier?

Yes, that sounds good.

  1. Move the Photos folder to the external drive
  2. Let Dropbox finish syncing this change.
  3. Drag the external drive folder into Boxifier

Since the files in that folder have been previously uploaded to Dropbox, syncing the Photos folder from the external drive will be fast because no actual uploads will be necessary.
